Our Community Involvement

Causes & Organizations We Support

High Country UCC believes in the power of community, and that means supporting groups outside our church that create community for others. We invite you to learn more below about the groups and causes that we support.

  • F.A.R.M. Cafe

High Country UCC helped start F.A.R.M. (Feed All Regardless of Means) Cafe in Boone. F.A.R.M. is a pay as you can model and offers space for community members to eat with all people from all walks of life. Our church supports F.A.R.M. monetarily and our members volunteer in various capacities.

  • Just Love

Just Love sprouted from a conversation between our church and local Harm Reduction professionals and people with lived experience with overdose, overdose reversal, and other harm reduction methods. Just Love organizes and hosts a yearly event for International Overdose Awareness Day as well as organizes harm reduction Purple Pantries around the High Country.

  • Peace Village

A weeklong day camp using experiences of play, singing and music, hikes, art, role play, games, yoga and more, engaging children in our community in foundations of creating, being and living peacefully across culture and traditions. Find out more about Peace Village at their website.
